Dear Phil,

Thank you for your very kind and generous contribution to my unit while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  The Poly Vinyl Targets that your company donated to us has fast become an invaluable asset to our organization and an operational tool that has allowed us to perform and perfect our tactics in both combat and training scenarios.

My initial request to sample one of your products came as a result of the significant amount of enemy sniper fire that we consistently received in our sector that unfortunately resulted in the death of two of our soldiers.  Catching a sniper is a very hard thing to do, particularly in an urban environment.  However, by capitalizing on the realistic features of your Poly Vinyl Target and dressing him as a soldier, we were able to position him overtly in areas that the enemy knew we characteristically use as covert battle positions.  The simple idea worked like a charm.  The dummy was engaged several times and our forces were able to later conduct a raid on the suspected enemy origin of fire resulting in the individual’s capture.  Since then, the local Iraqi populace has felt more secure in their neighborhoods and more willing to offer vital intelligence to our forces leading to the capture of more insurgents.

Again, thanks to the dummy’s realistic features and dimensions, the enemy is unable to discern his nature as opposed to and actual soldier on the battlefield.  In addition, his self-healing poly vinyl skin leaves him virtually unharmed and an automatic candidate for future hazardous duty!

Thanks for your effort to provide quality products for our military and law enforcement.  Quality products greatly assist in our never-ending pursuit to train and build a quality fighting force to defend our nation’s interest both at home and abroad.  Your product and generosity to provide it to us at no expense is a true testament to the nature of your organization.  It has undoubtedly saved my soldier’s lives and allowed them to return home safely: something that will never be able to have a price tag on it.
